First EDCTP programme
Established in 2003, EDCTP has been successfully supporting equitable European-African research collaborations to develop new and improved interventions against infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa for almost two decades.
With support of the EU, the EDCTP programme has brought together the combined strengths of its European Participating States with those of their sub-Saharan African counterparts and third parties to address the global challenge of fighting poverty-related infectious diseases, which is beyond the capacity of individual countries.
